When you buy a standard storage container, it will be ideal in many cases. But sometimes, a more versatile solution is required. That’s where double door containers come in.
When you buy a double door container from TITAN, your storage options increase dramatically – and they have other uses, too. Here’s how buyers use them:
As a two-sided storage space
Put one kind of product on one side and something else on the other. Then enter from the correct side, as needed.
As a two-unit container
Add a partition wall and you instantly have two separate rooms or storage areas.
As a portable tunnel
Open both doors, and you have a hard-wearing tunnel that can be used to funnel people through security or ticket inspection at events of all kinds.
All of TITAN’s double door containers are genuine shipping containers, meaning they are not only suitable as static storage areas, but they can also be used for international shipping, too.
Smaller containers such as 6ft or 8ft models don’t need double doors – they’re compact enough to offer easy access to all corners at all times.
When you need something bigger, such as a 20ft container or a 40 footer, having doors at each end opens up a world of possibilities.
TITAN has a wide selection of 20ft and 40ft double door containers for sale all over Australia at our wide network of depots, including Sydney, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.
We have new (1-trip) models and also second-hand double door tunnel containers in various conditions (priced according to their wear and tear). Older models are sometimes let go at rock-bottom prices – check out our special offers.
The internal dimensions of our double door containers are:
20 foot double door container – 5.84m (l) x 2.29m (w) x 2.38m (h)
40 foot double door container – 12m (l) x 2.29m (w) x 2.38m (h)
A double door container can speed up access to your goods in two ways:
You can load at either end
Designate the left-hand side for one product and the right-hand side for another. Whichever door you enter, you’re never more than 10ft from the goods you need in a 20ft container.
You can physically split it in two
We can fit an internal wall for you before you order – or add one yourself at a later date. It doesn’t have to be in the middle: you could have the front 3/4 of your double door container for building supplies and the rear quarter for tools.
When used at home, being able to split your double door container means you can have half as a workshop and half as general storage. Or two-thirds to stash your garden furniture and one-third for your bicycle collection. Whatever works for you.
Dozens of our double door containers are used as rigid tunnels at the entrance to event venues. When both doors are opened up, they become a fantastic, weatherproof covered area for funnelling people through security or past ticket collection.
Customers buy tunnel containers for:
Additionally, our tunnel shipping containers can be laid end-to-end to create a covered walkway/cycle lane. These are especially popular on inner-city construction sites and help to shield users from the elements. And because all of our tunnel containers are genuine shipping containers, they’re built to last!
In many cases, the standard internal height of TITAN’s double door containers is more than enough. But if 2.38m isn’t quite sufficient, buy a high cube container with double doors instead.
Available in both 20ft and 40ft double door models, these containers increase the ceiling height to 2.69m. It means you can add around 10% more products to the container, and makes tunnels feel more open and spacious.
New containers look great and are perfect when your double door container is ‘on show’, but you’ll often find that we have a used container that suits your needs, too. Just ask!
