TITAN’s shipping containers are designed to do one thing really well: protect your goods when in transit. They’re built to keep wind and rain out and make sure that your products stay safe 24/7 – whether they are being transported domestically or long-haul.
Wide range of sizes available
Available in 20ft and 40ft sizes (20-foot being our most popular model), our shipping containers are made of toughened steel and are as solid as a herd of buffalos. We have thousands of shipping containers available for delivery right now from TITAN Containers’ depots all over Australia.
Our super-tough shipping containers are purpose-built for transporting products locally or overseas.
Logistics can be a complicated business, and while TITAN doesn’t actually move your goods for you, we do take care of one huge part of the equation. We’re the people to call when you need a strong, durable container to put your goods in so they’re protected when in transit.
If you’re looking for a large container to give you extra space outside your home or workplace, check out our storage container hire page.
But if you’re in the business of moving goods from A-B, renting a shipping container from TITAN Containers is as easy as 1-2-3.
First, check out our many options. As well as standard shipping containers in multiple sizes, we also have many fantastic specialist shipping containers, including flat racks and high cubes.
Next, fill in our easy quick quote form and tell us what you need. All you have to do now is confirm your order when your quote comes back.
Our shipping containers can be seen up and down the country and further afield serving a multitude of needs, moving goods for:
When shipping internationally, TITAN Containers’ 20ft and 40ft models are the exact specification you need to be accepted on a cargo ship. Plus, they’re crafted from corrosion-resistant materials that are well-suited to life at sea.
Take a look the next time you’re at a large port and see a fully loaded cargo ship. Some of the shipping containers on the back will almost certainly be ours.
If you plan to spend a long time in another country, renting a shipping container from us means you can take your possessions with you safely and securely. Our shipping containers for hire are perfect for:
Business relocations – when a business in Australia is moving offices to another country, there are often large volumes of furniture, files, stock and other items to transport safely. Hiring a 20ft or 40ft shipping container from TITAN is a popular option.
Expat services – if you’re thinking of starting a new life overseas, you can fit the entire contents of your house into one or more of our shipping containers. They’re the perfect cocoon for your goods as they follow you around the world.
Vehicle shipping – take your precious car or motorbike collection with you when you’re moving to another country or fancy an extended road trip. It’s the perfect way to take your adventure a little further than usual!
When you rent a 20ft shipping container from us, you’ll find it’s roomy enough for most needs – whether you’re a private customer or a business client. The 20-footer is our most popular model and is widely used for short-distance shipping and transporting goods domestically. We have huge numbers of 20ft containers in stock across Australia for fast delivery.
The internal dimensions of our 20 feet shipping container are:
For commercial clients, our 20ft shipping containers for hire are the ideal solution across multiple industries, including retail, agriculture, pharmaceutical, renewable energies, technology, and leisure.
They are popular with logistics companies, supply chain businesses, facilities management companies and any kind of business that needs to move things safely and securely.
Many clients choose us because of our incredibly high stock levels and wide distribution network. We can offer great deals on delivery rates because we’re often just a short drive away.
Our standard shipping container is available in other variations, too, offering you multiple choices when transporting your goods. We also have open sided containers and double door containers (also known as tunnel containers), which are great for easy access when loading different types of goods.
A 20ft shipping container gives you a floor area of almost 14m2. That means when you rent a 20ft container, it’s great for transporting a large number of belongings such as furniture, clothing, collections, garden items and more.
And don’t forget, the floor area doesn’t paint the full picture, as you have plenty of height, too – 2.38m of it. While we don’t recommend that you cram your shipping container so full of belongings that you can’t move, when you rent a 20-footer container you can easily move the contents of a whole house in many cases. We also have much smaller models available, such as our 6ft shipping container.
One important note when it comes to international shipping: cargo ships generally accept just two sizes of shipping container – 20ft and 40ft. This helps ensure efficient and safe stacking. Our 20 foot and 40 foot shipping containers for hire are the precise standard ISO containers you need when planning on using cargo ships to transport your goods.
If you’re looking for the biggest possible container for international shipping, check out the high cube versions of our 40ft containers. They offer an extra 10% height to give you maximum space.
Using a shipping container hire company with a single depot in Darwin won’t be cost-effective for a client in Perth or Adelaide (or anyone much beyond Darwin, to be honest). That’s why we have built up a network of depots that hug the coast along the bottom half of Australia. In short – we’ve based ourselves where the lion’s share of the country resides.
Shipping containers are big, bulky items. The longer your delivery driver is on the road, the higher the total cost will be. We have strategically created delivery depots in major cities such as Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide – meaning much of Australia is within a short drive of one of our delivery trucks.
It means your delivery costs when hiring a shipping container will be as low as they can be – and also enables us to offer you a truly local service, even though we’re a global company. We typically deliver using tilt tray trucks, though this can change. To be well prepared for our arrival, please read our delivery guide.
One last tip to keep costs down even further: go with the flow! While we’re happy to meet specific requests of every kind, the cheapest option for you will always be to rent a standard container that we have in stock at your local depot.
When only a precise model will do, we’ll move mountains to get it for you. But if you don’t care about the colour and are flexible on size, then ask us what’s available today at a great price. You won’t be disappointed!
TITAN is a truly global company – which is great news if you’re renting a shipping container to transport goods one way and have no need to bring the container back.
Much like when renting a car from Paris and dropping it off in Barcelona when flying home at the end of a holiday, you can book one-way rentals from us to multiple destinations all over the world – as far away as the US.
Your rental fee will be priced from the time you take collection of your shipping container to the time it is returned to one of our depots overseas.
International shipping is complex. The number of different entities engaged in moving containers from one country to another can seem staggering, and adhering to rigid time-frames that involve so many moving parts is rarely easy.
Protection is offered to ports, warehouses and shipping line owners in the form of “demurrage” fees, which are payable when problems mean that the loading/unloading of cargo to or from the shipping line container is delayed beyond a pre-agreed cut-off point.
When delays like this happen, shipping interests charge ‘demurrage’ as penalty for engaging their container(s) longer than permitted. ‘Demurrage’ rates vary around the world but are often extremely high and rapidly can become hundred and thousands of $’s or equivalent.
If your shipments are often much more expensive due to demurrage penalties, then TITAN has a potential solution.
Instead of loading shipping line containers you can consider using shippers’ own containers (SOC). The freight charges, from the shipping line, might be higher but the total costs will probably be lower.
You can buy the container at origin and sell at destination or choose our 1-way rental option which is available on all major and many minor trade routes.
We offer 20’ and 40’ standard and high cube ISO containers as well as open top and flat rack container types. All containers are supplied in cargo worthy condition and with valid CSC (Container Safety Convention) plates.
Using SOC is often the premier solution for project shipments and for shipments to far distanced locations where there can be massive savings on empty equipment return.
