The challenge
Kennards Hire have more than 190 branches in Australia and New Zealand. They’re the go-to specialists when you need to rent industrial equipment.
One of their many large clients has been involved in the development of the Waratah Super Battery plant in Calandra, New South Wales. Occupying the site of the former Munmorah Power Station, this innovative venture will bring reliable energy to the state courtesy of the largest network battery in the southern hemisphere.
While most Kennards clients need machinery and tools by the bucketload, this particular customer asked for storage containers, too.
Which is where TITAN came in.
The solution
Kennards and TITAN hit it off from the start. For the Waratah Super Battery project, we’ve been on permanent standby for calls from Kennards whenever their clients need containers. And the calls have come in thick and fast!
Over the course of six months, we fielded requests for no less than 15 deliveries to Kennards’ client at the Waratah site – with rapid delivery very much part of the brief.
All the 27 x 20ft containers we’ve been asked to provide were on site within 24 hours of Kennards’ purchase orders coming through.
The results
Impressed by TITAN’s ability to install exactly what their client requires during some very tight delivery windows, Kennards are now in discussions with us about another batch of container rentals.
In fact, our top-quality containers have made such an impression at the Waratah site that other companies and contractors working there have started ordering from us, too.
So far, we’ve delivered an additional 11 x 20-footers to the site, bringing our total for the project to date to 38.
