Arctic SuperStores are already more energy efficient than separate ArcticStores. An Arctic MegaStore will, in addition to offering clients more capacity, deliver even higher energy and CO₂ efficiency. Thanks to scale advantages and reduced heat transfer, each m³ can be cooled with fewer machines and less electricity.
For more than 10 years, TITAN has been installing modular Arctic SuperStores at clients’ premises worldwide.
These structures are comprised of ArcticStore reefer containers connected to form a large open space – we think of them as a cold storage ‘warehouse’ on demand. It is also possible to split them into bays with different temperature zones.
SuperStores have been such a global hit that we have installed more than 1,100 of them to date. The largest was 800m2.
Several years ago, we began exploring the feasibility of double-height SuperStores, as many of our clients have limited space at their premises. If we could create modular cold storage using stacked containers, we could double capacity.
Fast forward to today, and TITAN’s engineers have perfected a safe, secure way to stack our famous reefer containers, converting them into space-saving, two-storey SuperStores.
We have named these structures ‘Arctic MegaStores’, and we are now offering them to clients worldwide.

Stackable reefer containers: small footprint, big capacity
MegaStores’ capacity is impressive. On a plot of land measuring just 13m x 13m, an Arctic MegaStore offers of cold storage. This enables businesses with big ambitions but little space to expand more rapidly than ever before.
Capable of maintaining temperatures as low as -40°C, MegaStores are well-suited to the needs of clients in multiple sectors, from pharmaceuticals and retail to food production and technology.
And thanks to their internal head height of , Arctic MegaStores are suitable for forklifts (providing they stay within maximum load weight). This means goods can easily be stacked throughout.
Any shape and size is possible! We are now in discussions with clients who have specific plans for where their MegaStores will be sited and how they will be used. Check back on our Case Studies page soon for details.

Modular cold storage with green credentials
TITAN is committed to developing solutions that reflect our clients’ business needs. We regularly consult with them to discuss ways we can help things run more smoothly or efficiently.
Conversations like this led to the recent launch of ArcticStore Horizon, an all-new collection of environmentally friendly refrigerated containers that require significantly less energy than standard models.
They also have eco-friendly paints and gases that are 1,000 times less harmful to the environment than previous-generation products.
For customers with sustainability targets, we can create Arctic MegaStores using ArcticStore Horizon containers. These require 55% less energy on average thanks to superior insulation and integrated solar panels.
Far quicker to create than permanent brick-and-mortar cold rooms, Arctic MegaStores are available to rent on flexible terms – meaning you can further save costs by downsizing when your capacity needs reduce.
