With great joy, TITAN Containers announces its recent collaboration with the Good Distribution Practice — Universal Compliance Initiative (GDP-UCI for short). This partnership marks a huge step towards one of TITAN’s missions to create a safer, more efficient, and more sustainable world of medicines and vaccines.
GDP-UCI is building a knowledge-sharing community among pharma industry stakeholders, and it’s changing the world. This community is instrumental in fostering a continuous learning environment, and is a place where innovative solutions are developed in partnership; for the benefit of the entire pharmaceutical supply chain and its patients.
In short, the GDP-UCI is a place where ‘competitors’ step out of the race against each other, and join the race with each other; developing a safer world for all. TITAN could not be prouder to now be running in that race.
WHAT IS THE GDP-UCI?
The GDP Universal Compliance Initiative (GDP-UCI) is the world’s first and only GDP reform initiative. The team is dedicated to unifying and elevating the pharmaceutical distribution chain by working with relevant industry partners (businesses and individuals alike).
Striving to introduce uniformity, consistency, and continuous learning in pharma, GDP-UCI is aligning all companies in the pharma distribution chain with international quality and regulatory requirements.
At its core, the GDP-UCI is an industry-driven social enterprise that seeks to simplify adherence to GDP regulations and guidelines across every stakeholder in the pharma supply chain: “from manufacturers and distributors to carriers, logistics service companies, solution providers (that’s where TITAN steps in!), and support organisations.”
By harmonising and introducing GDP-compliant processes and solutions, standardising training, auditing, and certification procedures, the initiative aims to create a seamless, risk-free, and practical environment for pharmaceutical distribution.

HOW WILL TITAN AND GDP-UCI WORK TOGETHER?
TITAN stepping into this initiative is a natural fit, especially given its significant contribution to pharmaceutical distribution through the ArcticStore cold storage product range.
As a globally renowned supplier of cold storage solutions for medicines, vaccines, and more, TITAN Containers plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of pharmaceutical products during their journey from production facilities to end-users.
And now, with TITAN’s storage solutions and knowledge underwing, the teams can work closely together to enable pharma companies worldwide to continue distributing life-saving drugs and vaccines in the safest, most sustainable way possible.
“This is a logical and great-fit step for us. The team at TITAN Containers is very much looking forward to actively collaborating with fellow members of the GDP-ICU to help drive innovation, efficiency, and safety in pharmaceutical distribution. We’ve learned a lot in our 40 years of storage, we’ve still got a lot more to learn, but we’ve got a lot to share as well.”
—Søren Mogensen, TITAN Containers CEO.
STEPPING TOWARDS A HEALTHIER, HAPPIER WORD OF PHARMACEUTICALS
With TITAN’s tried-and-tested cold storage solutions now being a go-to option for the likes of Solugen, Peli BioThermal, and Abcam, and the ArcticSolar energy solutions helping to reduce running costs, TITAN has a lot share and a lot to learn from the community.
TITAN is hoping to continue evolving its products to better deliver on the pharma industry’s needs and tapping into everyday pain points from stakeholders across the globe.
At the same time, the team hopes to educate pharma distributors and manufacturers on ways that they can make safer, more sustainable, and more long-lasting medicines for the world. May the mission continue.
