Our fantastic double door containers – also known as tunnel containers – have three different uses:
1 They offer the easiest possible access to goods at either end of your container (no need to unload everything to get to the back).
2 They can be split into two units (using partition walls), each with its own lockable entrance door.
3 They can be fully opened up to form a covered tunnel – perfect for funnelling people into an event (to check tickets or handbags, etc) such as a concert or a football match.
TITAN has a large selection of 20ft and 40ft double door containers to rent all over Australia at our depots, including Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
We offer fast, competitively-priced delivery, meaning you could have one of these remarkable and versatile shipping containers at your home, workplace or arena in a matter of days.
When you rent a standard storage container, it will often be exactly what you need. But sometimes, especially when cramming your container tightly, getting to things that you packed first – which are right at the back of the container – can be a challenge.
In fact, if you’ve not planned your packing well, you might have to empty the entire contents of your container to get to what you need.
Here’s how a double door container eliminates that:
Load at both ends
It’s easy to mentally split your container in two when you rent tunnel containers. Simply put one type of goods in one end and another type in the other – or keep a log of what you stored where so that you can easily work out which door will offer the quickest access.
Add a physical wall
Just ask us before renting where you want the internal wall to be. This is something we can quickly and easily add, and it will help ensure that products intended for one side don’t spill over into the other.
When you rent a double door container from us, you’re effectively getting two containers in one. By adding a partition wall – which we can easily and affordably do for you before delivery – you can have two distinct parts to your container, each with its own lockable door.
Here’s how these are commonly used:
Two separate lock ups
Private clients often rent double door containers from us when they have different needs for each part of their container. One side could be used as a mini garage for storing and working on motorcycles, for example, while the other serves as general storage or as a space to keep logs for your wood-burning stove.
A multi-use container
Many businesses have multiple storage needs, and by splitting a container into two they can mix and match storage areas for different types of product, tools or machinery. And remember, your partition wall doesn’t need to be in the middle: it can be anywhere you need it. Our tunnel containers for hire offer the last word in flexibility.
If you’re managing an event such as a concert or sports match, where people need to queue to enter the venue, then a double door container works as a fantastic portable tunnel into which visitors can be funnelled before entry. Here are two examples of what’s possible when you rent tunnel containers from us:
A security check pre-match
Keep staff and guests out of rain or the direct sun during security checks that need to take place as people enter your venue. A double door tunnel container is great for concerts, sporting events, festivals and more.
A portable ticket booth
When customers have to show their tickets on their way into an event, one or more double door containers laid end to end can keep dozens of people sheltered as they queue. Two 40ft containers end to end is enough for two lines of around 60 people queueing at once.
In addition, four tunnel containers can be joined end to end to create a protected pedestrian/bicycle walkway during construction work. This is often a must-have during inner-city/residential building projects. Our tunnel containers for hire protect people both from above and from the sides, and internal lighting can be added on request.
The standard internal height of TITAN’s double door container is 2.38m – which is perfect most of the time. But if you want to go a little bigger, renting a high cube container with double doors is the answer.
These raise the ceiling height to an incredible 2.69m – meaning you can get around 10% more goods inside. And if you’re using a double door container as a tunnel, it makes the whole experience seem more ‘roomy’.
