TITAN remains one of Denmark’s best managed companies

Deloitte’s ‘Best Managed Companies’ award currently runs across 25 countries worldwide. It recognises each country’s best managed companies by considering their:
- Strategy
- Capabilities
- Commitment
- Financials
With hundreds of thousands of private companies in Denmark, there’s no shortage of competition when it comes to winning this prestigious award. However, TITAN Containers has earned pride of place in the top 16 best managed companies in the country for the third consecutive year — we couldn’t be prouder!
A Deloitte spokesperson said:
“The success of this year’s winning companies is a result of investment in talent and technology, an ability to innovate in a competitive environment, and an intent to compete on the global stage.
The winning companies have proven their capability and commitment to deliver and implement a clear and strong strategy, allowing them to impact on a higher level of organisational success and achievement.”
TITAN’s Group Business Analyst, Mette Louisa Barker (right), accepted the award on behalf of Layland Barker, Founder, from Julie Bygholm, a Deloitte representative.
The event was a spectacular occasion, an opportunity to meet other businesses at the top of their game and take a moment to appreciate the team’s continued hard work.
HOW IS DELOITTE’S ‘BEST MANAGED COMPANY’ AWARD DECIDED?
Participating companies go through a two-phase application process:
Phase 1: determines a company’s eligibility for the award. Does the company meet the criteria to be considered?
Phase 2: consists of a lab session. Here, company performance within strategy, capability, commitment, and financials are all challenged and evaluated by an independent jury; in cooperation with Deloitte.
Some of the jurors for 2023 included: Nina Smith, Professor of Economics at Aarhus University; Lars Cordt, partner at the Danish private equity fund Axcel; Christoph Grimpe, Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Copenhagen Business School; and Jens Bjerg Sørensen, CEO of Schouw & Co.
